This is probably the most important step of them all. If the house is not priced correctly to start, it could cause the house to sit on the market for a long time. The window of opportunity to sell a house is usually the first six weeks it is on the market. By pricing it correctly it should sell, unless the bottom drops out of the real estate market. The market here in Utah seem to still be strong and houses are still selling. This is apparent by the large number of rental signs popping up around the area. People have learned that buying a house gives them more tax advantages, more privacy and more pride of ownership then renting.
